UKAD Chief Executive pays tribute to WADA founding President Richard Pound on his retirement
Speaking on the retirement of WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) founding President Richard Pound, UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) Chief Executive Nicole Sapstead said: “Dick is a landmark figure in the world of modern anti-doping. A great deal of recognition is owed for his service to WADA and commitment to clean sport.
“Leading the way, Dick ensured the creation of a unified set of anti-doping rules which bind all sports and hold everyone accountable to the same standards across the world. This is a cornerstone of modern sport and could not have happened without him.
“Enjoy your retirement Dick, but I’m sure your contributions to clean sport are not over yet!”
