UK Anti-Doping appointed as official anti-doping contractor for RLWC2021

UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has today been confirmed as the anti-doping contractor for the Rugby League World Cup 2021 (RLWC2021), which runs from 15 October to 19 November 2022.

As part of its role, UKAD will deliver a comprehensive, intelligence led, risk-based testing programme that protects the players’ rights to clean competition and maintains public confidence in the men’s, women’s and wheelchair competitions taking place. 

UKAD Chief Executive, Jane Rumble, said: “We are delighted to be playing a key role in the highly anticipated Rugby League World Cup. We want to be able to give the public and all those competing confidence in the event and what's happening on the pitch by delivering the highest standards of anti-doping processes.

“The Rugby League World Cup is going to be an incredible sporting event and we are proud to be bringing our anti-doping expertise to it.”
