Testing Update: UKAD changes supplier of urine sample collection vessels
UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) will use LockCon’s sealed sample collection vessel for urine sample provision from 22 July 2024. The testing procedure, and all other sample collection equipment used by UKAD, remains unchanged.
LockCon is a leading anti-doping technology supplier. Athletes selected for testing can be assured that LockCon’s urine collection vessel continues to provide high security to protect samples against manipulation, counterfeiting and fraud according to the WADA International Standard of Testing and Investigations.
LockCon’s urine collection vessel includes a spout to make dividing the sample into the A and B bottles easier. The vessel is also easier to handle and stack.
The video shows what the LockCon collection vessel looks like and how the athlete will use the vessel to collect their urine sample as part of the testing procedure.
As a reminder, testing can happen anytime, anywhere and is conducted with no advance notice.
