Get Set for the Spirit of Sport is an anti-doping education programme in partnership with the British Olympic Association (BOA) and British Paralympic Association (BPA). It is aimed at encouraging 10 to 14 year olds to develop a core set of sporting values, enabling them to make the right decisions on and off the field of play.
Get Set for the Spirit of Sport provides primary and secondary schools with free resources centred around the Olympic and Paralympic values which support the aims and objectives of the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code and UKAD’s 100% me anti-doping education programme.
Young people are faced with choices on and off the field of play, and confronted with issues of right and wrong. Get Set for the Spirit of Sport encourages them examine the decisions they make and the values that underpin them, and provides an opportunity to practice this and form a robust set of core sporting values.
Get Set for the Spirit of Sport contains a mixture of open-ended, differentiated and exciting classroom based activities and practical activity ideas for three different age groups of young people aged between 10 and 14. Each age category contains a series of six lessons, with additional activity sheets for those who cannot take part in physical activities.
